Austin was facing 2-20 years in prison. He was drag racing on a city street and the other driver lost control of his car, hit a tree, and rolled over onto its hood. The victim was unconscious seat belted in the back seat partially ejected out the rear window with fuel leaking on her. Austin drove away but returned 5 minutes later. The felony was dismissed, and he plead to the misdemeanor of reckless driving where he was sentenced to 3 days in jail but was given credit for that. Thus, he ended up only paying a $2,000 fine.
